    Profit taking in energy sector.

    Energy stocks finally are the best performing sector in December.. Energy bonds are also among the best performing. But the move in energy sector seems not too convincing. Energy funds still record outflows and in fact they are the worst funds by outflows in December.

    Materials sector looks much more hedged. It is the second best YTD after IT stocks and it was still pretty strong in December.

    Lagging in December are the utilities stocks, but the utilities bonds have been quite strong recently and utilities funds have been recording strong inflows.

    Precious metals sector is the darling this year showing strongest inflow in the funds space.
